Conceptual design for eVTOL. The idea behind this project was all about looking into the not so far future and developing a concept for a private transportation vehicle, air electric aviation in this case, which is not such an abstract idea any more. The interest in personal electric aviation has grown in the past few years and once it becomes reality it will facilitate long distance traveling and without cars roads will become more pedestrian and bike friendly.

   

The focus in the design was on creating an aerodynamic shape with clear, well-defined lines, futuristic but clean shape. The concept is for an all-electric turbine-propelled vertical takeoff and landing, but combined with foldable wings for higher efficiency in horizontal flying. The volume is designed to accommodate a three-seater interior that follows and resonates with the exterior form.

The last phase of the project was creating a physical model and interior. It was a tight time frame, so I decided to experiment with drawing and combining 2d sketches with 3d base so I can save rendering time and 3d modeling.
